Nak dijadikan cerita untuk menulis (baca: menaip), semalam, aku menonton Lord of the Ring Trilogy. Dalam 10 jam jugalah masa aku dipenuhkan begitu saja. Rasa macam malas je nak abiskan, tapi dah xde keje. So, abis lah jugak akhirnya.

Ini kali kedua aku menonton filem tersebut. Memang bestlah! Rugilah kepada sapa2 yang tidak menonton. =p

So, seperti biasa, aku berangan-angan lagi. Kalau diberi pilihan aku nak jadi sapa dalam pengembaraan penuh mencabar tu.

Watak-watak yang menarik perhatian aku:-

Gandalf - powerful, ada karisma tersendiri.
Aragorn - heroic all da-time
Legolas - skill memanah yang best!
Sam - kawan yang setia
Gimli - funny dwarf =D
Merry, Pippin - sometimes funny, ok lah.
Arwen - ehmm... =p

Watak-watak yang aku kureng:-
Gollum - nakal neh!
Sauron - nakal amat!
Frodo - lemah semangat btul..nyampah!
Orcs, Uruks - sapekah yang suka, angkat tangan..huh!
Galadriel - seriau aku dengar dia cakap.

Lain-lain, sila tengok sendiri. =p

So, aku pilih Gandalf.

Dikecewakan, tapi masih lagi setia.

Dah2..sudah banyak mengarut, back to topic. Sekarang sepatutnya dah spring, tapi masih lagi sejuk.

Tapi aku sedar, hari ini baru saja bermula. It's Monday! At the same time, I wish it's Friday...can't wait for Fridays..hahaha. =D

A tribute to Harith...

Today (05/04) is your birthday! Happy birthday to you, my best buddy! May Allah bless you whenever and wherever you are.

I miss a little celebration of your birthday (as well as mine :D), just like we have done before in UTP. I miss the times that we spent together in Tronoh, Ipoh, Kota Bharu, Rantau Panjang, and in our homes. And I miss how you and me being 'emotionally unstable' sometimes, heh. Thanks a lot for your patience with my emo-thing. =p

I hope that everything goes well for you, and may all of your wishes come true.

Thanks a lot for being my friend. whether I am happy or sad, whether it is rainy or sunny. I want to dedicate this song for you:-

So Close...and still so far.

A dedication, maybe...

So Close
by Jon McLaughlin

You're in my arms
And all the world is calm
The music playing on for only two
So close together
And when I'm with you
So close to feeling alive

A life goes by
Romantic dreams will stop
So I bid mine goodbye and never knew
So close was waiting, waiting here with you
And now forever I know
All that I wanted to hold you
So close

So close to reaching that famous happy end
Almost believing this was not pretend
And now you're beside me and look how far we've come
So far we are so close

How could I face the faceless days
If I should lose you now?
We're so close
To reaching that famous happy end
And almost believing this was not pretend
Let's go on dreaming for we know we are
So close
So close
And still so far

Alunan syahdu - Syeikh Masyari Rashid Al-Afaasi

Subhanallah. Dengarkanlah...

Kepada teman-teman yang inginkan koleksi mp3 Syeikh Masyari Rashid al-Afaasi (bacaan semua surah), you can get it from me.

Update:
I will not host copyrighted work, so I will not send anything through emails, direct download link, etc. No more requests. Harap maklum. Tq.

Fitna...yet another close-minded thinking about Islam.

People are talking about this "Fitna" short film by Dutch Parliamentarian Geert Wilders. (There are lot of other persons who were involved in making this racist video - see the list at the end of the film). Then it comes to forwarded messages from my friends, saying that "Boycott products from Dutch!", with a long list of Dutch products.
So, I watched the so-called film, and in my opinion, it is totally anti-Islam. Quoting some verses of Holy Quran (while neglecting the previous and the next verses), and then relating the quoted verses with videos or pictures that show the not-so true events that occurred around the world.

The starting of Fitna, just like its title, it is a fitnah to Islam.

The main producer, Geert Wilders. Up till now he still defends his fitnah. Read here.

The aim here, as I can see is to relate Islam, once again, with terrorism. Remember the September 11 conspiracy? Then, you should know that this "Fitna" is yet another fitnah to Islam.

It is not fair to see the not-so true events. So, what happened to Islam after 7 years of being blamed for terrorism? Another story to relate Islam to terrorism? And these are the facts, that no one talks as loud as this "Fitna":
  • No one talks loudly about an estimated 104,000-230,000 Iraqi civilian death - compared to 4000 soldiers that were killed in Iraq!
  • No one talks loudly about how Palestinians become refugees at their own home land!
  • No one talks loudly about how the prisoners in Guantanamo being treated!

Well, these are part of the facts that were being ignored, maybe because they are not as "interesting" as the "Fitna" contexts. If these facts are to be produced as a film, 17 minutes are not enough. I would recommend something like 170 minutes or 170 hours!

I am familiar with some of the Dutch products. To think of it, I might want to change to another products from another country. From Germany, maybe. I love Germany so far. =D

X-Men oh X-Men...

Just finished watching the wonderful movies about humans and mutants. Marathon X-Men, X-Men 2 dan X-Men 3 dari pukul 7 petang sampai pukul 12++ pagi. Heheh.

Best2x
..dah lama tak tengok balik movie yang best tu. Anyway, I'm a Marvel fan..memang layan jer apa-apa movie yang berkaitan dengan Marvel =D

Terfikir pula, alangkah bestnya kalau aku menjadi salah seorang mutant yang powerful tu. Kalaulah diberi peluang, nak jadi apa agaknya?

Aku pilih Mystique. Shape shifter yang begitu mengagumkan. Nak tukar jadi sapa? Depends. Bergantung pada masa dan keadaan. Hahah. =D

Charles Xavier pun okay gak, but I'm not willing to give up my legs just for his mind-controlling ability. Jean Grey is way too powerful and unstable!

Wolverine? I don't like having claws. Storm? I think the weather now is good enough!

Dah2. Sudah penat mengarut. Nak tido..esok nak kerja!

Kamu yang membaca, jika diberi pilihan, nak jadi mutant mana satu?
Or baik saja jadi manusia biasa yer..tak perlu susah2 menentang musuh. =p

By the way, anyone know about X-Men 4?

Sad news about a prodigy...

One of my colleagues in BASF asked me this morning, ''Do you know what happened to the *Malaysian who entered Oxford at the age of 13, Sufiah Yusof?''. I just replied, 'No, I don't.'
I'm quite shocked when he told me the details about her current situation. And of course, I am really sad too after reading the news about her on the internet. I just don't want to believe what I read!

*Sufiah Yusof is a British citizen, her mother is from Malaysia, father from Pakistan.

So here is the article:

Maths prodigy who won an Oxford place at 13 is now a £130-an-hour HOOKER
By Keith Gladdis

SHE was a child maths genius who won a place at Oxford University aged just 13—but now the only sums Sufiah Yusof is interested in are the ones she earns as a HOOKER.

For sad Sufiah the daily equation she has to solve is simply sex equals £130 as she sells her body to punters over the internet.

The gifted girl with the winning smile had the world at her feet ten years ago and should be a rich woman by now—but last week she was busy subtracting her underwear for our undercover reporter in her dingy back street flat.

“Would you like to start your half hour now?” said Sufiah, 23, as she danced on the bed, displaying her body for examination.

Then she listed all the sleazy plus points she would throw in for our man if he took up her offer.
Calling herself Shilpa Lee, the former child prodigy still juggles with figures on a hookers’ website, describing herself as a “very pretty size 8, 32D bust and 5′5″ tall—available for booking every day from 11am to 8pm.”

She says she is a “sexy, smart student” who prefers “older gentlemen”— but a former pal who has witnessed her downfall told us: “It is all desperately heartbreaking.

“With her amazing brain she should be able to make money any way she wants. But instead her life has spiralled completely out of control.”

Life has never quite added up for Sufiah. Her descent into prostitution in Salford, Manchester, is the latest in a long line of tragedies to have engulfed her since the sunny day when she posed with her university mortar board for the world’s press outside prestigious St Hilda’s College.

Our shock revelations today come in the week her domineering dad Farooq was jailed for sexually assaulting two 15-year-old girls as he home-tutored them in maths.

And he was always at the root of all her troubles— even as she passed the further maths A-Level she needed for entry to Oxford at the age of 12. In those days Sufia was a strict Muslim child who prayed five times a day and was subjected to her father’s famous Accelerated Learning Technique.

Her days involved stretching and breathing exercises in freezing rooms to keep her brain attentive.

Sufiah would then study hard and be forced to play tennis with just as much intensity as fanatical Farooq drove her on. The routine was so effective Sufiah was seeded number eight in the country for under 21s.

But three years into Oxford, the 15-year-old sparked a massive police hunt after running away.

Abuse

At the time her father bizarrely claimed Sufiah had been kidnapped and brainwashed by an organisation seeking the key to her intelligence.

But Sufiah sent an email to her family describing her life under her father as a “living hell”.
One message to her sister read: “I’ve finally had enough of 15 years of physical and emotional abuse. You know what I am talking about.”

Sufiah was missing for two weeks before being found in an internet café in Bournemouth where she had been working as a hotel waitress.

She refused to go back to her parents and instead was taken into the care of social services.
It was then revealed that Farooq had been jailed for three years in 1992 for his part in a £1.5m mortgage swindle. Before that—at the age of 19—he had been sent to borstal for his role in a conspiracy involving £100,000.

Free from the spell of her father, Sufiah returned to Oxford to complete the final year of her Masters in Maths.

But she was now more concerned with enjoying herself—and failed to finish the course after meeting trainee lawyer Jonathan Marshall.

They were married in 2004 when Sufiah was just 19 and Jonathan 24. But the strains with her family were still there.

Despite being invited, Sufiah’s parents and four brothers and sisters failed to turn up to the wedding.

Her dreams of a happy life with Jonathan were shattered when the couple divorced just a year later.

Now, in her sad little flat, she uses her body to pay the rent. Sufiah met our man, posing as a punter, at the entrance to her building wearing a tiny skirt, leather boots and a tight t-shirt. She was carrying three mobile phones.

She laughed and joked as she led him to her small apartment where a bed was already set out in the lounge.

She told him it was £130 an hour and offered him a glass of water before putting some music on to a cheap portable stereo and nervously stripping down to her red lace bra and knickers.
Sufiah then peeled off her underwear and danced on the bed. She told him she did full sex with a condom and oral sex without protection.

After our man had made his excuses, Sufiah kept him talking by telling him how she was studying for a Masters degree in Economics on a part-time two year course in London.
The former prodigy added: “I’ve got exams coming up and I’m thinking ‘Oh my God!’”
Once described by her parents as “naïve and unstreetwise”, she works alone from her flat without any obvious physical security or protection.

She even admitted to our reporter: “It’s always a surprise who you are going to meet.”
Cheerful Sufiah gave no indication of any sadness at the jailing of her father the previous day. On Wednesday Farooq, 50, was sentenced to 18 months at Coventry Crown Court for touching two 15-year-old girls when he was home tutoring them at maths.

The court heard how in May last year Farooq arrived at one of the victim’s home for a maths lesson.

He started whispering in her ear and kissing her hair and cheek. He also touched her breast and told her she was a genius and pretty before putting her hand on his upper thigh.

Destroyed

Farooq’s defence lawyer Tim Hannam said: “He’s been back in prison for over five months and knows there’ll be no more teaching and any hope he had of gaining an income from the teaching method he had developed to a high degree of success is lost to him. His reputation is destroyed.”
Now it’s clear the daughter who fled his strict regime has almost been destroyed too.

Her friend said last night: “Sufiah has suffered so many knocks in her life. I just hope she can drag herself out this life she has got herself into.

“She is a good person and deserves a much better life than this. Her gift really has been a curse.”

Original article can be read here at News of the World Online, but I advise you not to read it there. It is just like a conspiration to give a shame on her. Well, she did that at the first place but, I don't think that was totally her mistake. I hope that she will be able to come out of the situation she is in right now, and be able to reshape her future. Still, I don't want to believe that the news is true.

So, right now, I'm thinking about our new prodigy, Adi Putera. Let us pray that he will have a glorious future, and be able to help others in many ways. May Allah bless you, Adi Putera.

Quotes of the day...

Just my thoughts and some from others (mentioned)...

Bahasa:

English:

If you fall once, it doesn't mean you will fall twice
If you fall twice, it doesn't mean you will fall thrice,
If you fall thrice, it doesn't mean you will fall FOREVER!

If there are 100 people succeeded, YOU must be one of them,
If there are 50 people succeeded, YOU must be one of them,
If there are 10 people succeeded, YOU must be one of them,
Even if there is only ONE person succeeded, YOU must be the ONE!
- My former teacher, Puan Siti Khadijah, who used to praise my handwriting, hehe =p

If we are not happy with our life,
Just think that there is someone else in the other part of this world
who is even less fortunate than us,
and he/she really wants to sacrifice everything
just to have a life like ours.

Start to understand the others, and they will start to understand you.
Start to care about the others, and they will start to care about you.
Start to love the others, and they will start to love you.
Don't just think about yourself, because life is all about us and how we deal with people!
And the most difficult thing in this world is to deal with people.
- Dae Jang Geum aka Jewel in the Palace

If I say that I miss you, then trust me, I really miss you.
If I say that I love you, trust me, its true.
But If I say that I hate you, don't take it too deep in the heart,
I might be angry and emotionally unstable at that time,
but trust me, I don't hate people,
because I'm also a part of people community!

Tribute to Saleha

You can see the difference, jam di atas (Windows gadjet) belum berubah lagi, tapi jam di bawah (World Server) sudahpun berubah.

click on the picture to enlarge

Pukul tiga tu terus tidur, tapi still, losing an hour in a flash, aku memang dah menjangkakan tidur aku tak akan cukup. Tapi itulah, dah jakun sangat nak tengok masa berubah, apehal? Adeh.

To Saleha,

All the best!
  • We'll miss you.
  • Serangkap pantun untuk anda:-

Indah sungguh Pulau Pandan,
Tempat seisi keluarga berkelah,
Semoga maju jaya di masa depan,
Disinari bahagia dan barakah.

(maaflah pantun aku x sehebat pantun Joe)

Insya Allah. =D
