Do you like Malay movies?

Baru saja memotong rambutku setelah hampir 5 bulan (oh ya..hari tu Mizi ada tolong potongkan rambut bahagian belakang cket...masa tu aku rimas rambut kat belakang panjang sangat tapi masih mahu menyimpan bahagian depan :D). Ada orang panggil aku Faizal Tahir, ada yang cakap aku okay berambut panjang. Entahlah.

Apa-apa pun, sekarang, rambut aku dah pendek giler! Bukanlah botak seperti Mawi tapi bagi aku memang pendek.

How much is the cost for cutting my hair? €8 = RM40. Itu yang paling murah boleh didapati di sini. Ada yang €9, ada yang €11. I prefer the lowest sebab tujuannya sama saja.

Esok plannya nak tengok Iron Man bersama-sama member sepejabat. Sapa yang dah tengok? Dengar kata best.

Bercerita tentang filem, teringatkan filem-filem Melayu yang biasanya aku memang kureng cket.

Ada something tentang filem Melayu yang membuatkan aku malas, bosan dan jemu untuk menonton filem Melayu lagi. Setiap kali ada filem Melayu baru keluar panggung, I have this tag in my mind ''that is a typical filem Melayu''. Do you like Malay movies? Why do you like it. Change my mind about filem Melayu, please.

Recent works on macro...

Lets forget about quotes for a while. Here are some of my recent works on macro photography. Just for self entertainment and self satisfaction. Thanks to Abe for the session together and some lesson a few days ago. It's such a long time I didn't shoot macro photos. (some are not really macro enough i think :p)

I wish that I have more time for photography, instead of spending lots and lots of my time in front of 'windows'.

p/s: planning on cutting my hair this week. don't call me names, not anymore. :p

Some updates...

Sudah lama tidak mengupdate blog. Penat sebenarnya. Idea pun tak ada sangat.

Baru saja balik dari Belgium dan Netherlands. Both are great and unique countries. Belgium with its variety of chocolates, and Netherlands with tulips, windmills, and its infamous entertainment points. It was a good trip overall.


Balik saja dari vacation, esoknya terus ke Luisenpark, Mannheim. I never think that such park exists in Mannheim. Banyak lagi rupanya tempat berdekatan yang belum didiscover sepenuhnya. It was a great picnic.

Then, semalam pergi ke Neues Messplatz, Mannheim. Ada fun fair. Dah lama tak pergi fun fair. Last time in a fun fair, aku di tingkatan berapa ntah. It was really fun. Naik ferris wheel, naik benda pusing-pusing (ape nama dia ntah), naik bumper car for the first time, dan naik 'taxi' yang laju macam sengal. Terasa macam budak-budak. It is great to be kids, isn't it? Fun, fun and fun..no hard feelings at all. :D


Pikir-pikir balik, it is really painful to grow up. Semakin lama, semakin banyak cabaran yang perlu dilalui. Semakin lama semakin banyak salah dan silap yang kadang-kadang memakan diri sendiri. Semakin lama, semakin banyak pula cabaran dan dugaan.

I guess it is just how we can grow up. Endure the pain, be maturer, and live your life to the fullest. Forget about the hard feelings.

Melalut lagi. Hahahaha. Okay, end of update. Will do some quotes next time. :D

Online voting: Is it fair enough?

Sekarang musim blog kurang meriah. Kawan-kawan punye blog pun x diupdate sangat. Aku pun tak ada idea untuk menaip. Jadi, aku buat bancian (poll) di sisi blog. Sila-silakanlah cast your vote, lebih-lebih lagi bagi sesiapa yang belum berkesempatan untuk vote dalam pilihanraya baru-baru ini. At least boleh juga melepaskan gian untuk vote. Hehehe. =p

Ok, back to the topic. The topic for today: is online voting fair enough to decide anything? Or specifically to decide who is at the top place for a contest, or an award?

What I think:

- online voting is vulnerable to error, in which a person can cast a vote more than once (try it on my polls! Refresh the page before you vote for the second time :D).

- online voting can be done by anyone; even a small 4 year old kid who knows nothing about the poll can cast a vote by just one single click.

- not everyone can be online, so online voting does not represent the whole public.

- online voting can be totally controlled by the owner for his own purpose.

- online voting can be hacked by genius hackers, it can be voted over and over by an automatic robot.

- online voting is only for fun.

Yes, what I really think is, it is only for fun. Nothing more, nothing less.

Even if in the real voting process people can do so many tricks to achieve their own purpose, how can an online voting be a benchmark to decide anything important?

Hari ini asyik kedengaran bunyi alarm dan announcement di pejabat. Lepas itu datanglah berbelas-belas kereta bomba dengan sirennya yang agak membingitkan.

Tak ada pula announcement mengarahkan kami keluar dari bangunan hari ni. Kalau minggu lepas, situasinya agak sama juga tapi kami diarahkan keluar. Menurut office mate ku, hari ini bangunan lain yang terlibat. Aku angguk saja, sebab aku memang tak faham announcement yang dibuat dalam bahasa Jerman itu.

I realize that being in the office inside a chemical plant, the danger is always there. Long long time ago, in 1921, dah pernah berlaku explosion di sini. Read here. Seriau juga aku lepas membaca pasal explosion ni suatu ketika dulu. Some of the facts:

*The explosion was estimated be equivalent to about 1–2 kilotonnes of TNT and was heard as a loud bang in Munich, more than 300 km away.

*The pressure wave ripped roofs off up to 25 km away and destroyed windows even farther away. In Heidelberg (30 km from Oppau), traffic was stopped by the mass of broken glass on the streets.

*About 80 percent of all buildings in Oppau were destroyed, leaving 6500 homeless. At ground zero a 90 m by 125 m crater, 19 m deep, was created.

What hurts the most...

What do you think hurts the most in our life? This question comes into my mind after I watched the House M.D. Season 1 Episode 10 last night. A mother lost both her child and her husband in a car accident, in which she was the driver. She fought against her disease alone, with an empty heart, and she was full of regrets.


Rascal Flatts in their song 'What hurts the most' say:

And never knowing

And not seeing that loving you

So here it is also about losing. I also think that what hurts me the most are related to losing; losing someone that you love, losing a person you called friend, losing something that you really appreciate, losing your confidence, losing your trust to someone, losing your good health, losing, losing .....and of course losing everything is the most torturing of all. Oh yes, losing weight is also not good for me. I might be sad for that too. :p

I remember someone once said , ''It is not good to keep thinking of what that hurts you when you lost someone or something, because what you have lost might never come back. You better think of how to move on and start anew.'' Is it that simple? Think positively. Don't think about it too hard. The truth is, you will never stop thinking about what you have lost, because it will be in your memories forever. The most important thing is, how you accept the losing situation and how you can control it as a preparation to face the same condition(s) in the future.

So, what hurts you the most?Is it love or is it hate? Is it health or is it wealth?

Masing-masing antara kita pastinya ada cerita berbeza tentang ini, kan.

New Obsession: Nelly Furtado...

I spent some of my time today to hear the rest of the songs from the Loose album by Nelly Furtado. Sebelum ini, aku cuma layankan lagu 'Say It Right' saja daripada album yang sama. Sekarang aku sedang layankan:

- Say it right
- Maneater
- All Good Things (Come to an end)
- Wait for you
- Te Busque (ft. Juanes)

I checked the top 25 most played songs in my iTunes, and guess what, the song at the top of the list is "Say It Right", as expected. I hear the song almost everyday, so there is no wonder.

I know it is not really an obsession, it's just a simple logic. The songs are really nice, so I like it. Nothing much that I want to promote, you should hear the songs yourself, if you haven't. But, I guess most of us have heard from her before.

So, now my list of favourite artists goes up again. Music makes our life a little bit more exciting, isn't it? Music sometimes can change our emotional feelings and the state of mind. Music sometimes reminds us of our old memories. And I do think sharing the same interest in similar kind of music with the others is really something.

Bosan membaca? Aku pun bosan juga. Sebab itu aku menaip. (refer to my blog title..hehehe). I have no idea to type something here, but I want to. Ok, lets talk about something else.

No more music talk. Just now, I copied some of my photos from the computer to my external hard disk drive, and it came out with this "4 days and 16 hours remaining" time for copying.

Are you kidding me, Windows? Fortunately, it only took about 10 minutes. It must be interesting if the Windows really need 4 days and 16 hours just to copy 6,349 photos (6,41 GB). Then all Windows user will go to Mac, or go to the safer and better Linux.

I want to change to Linux in the near future, but can I bear with losing some of the games, and features that I am really familiar with in Windows? I guess we are just too dependant on Windows since from we started to touch the mouse. At least for me.

Aku sangat gembira dan bersukur kerana:

*Berat badanku bertambah 1 kg! Aku timbang 4 hari berturut-turut sejak hari Selasa, ternyata berat badanku sudah bertambah. Jangan-jangan penimbang berat itu rosak? Hahaha. =p

*Reportku untuk first project sudah hampir siap. Nak start final report..nak start..nak start...huhu =D

*Sudah tamat menonton Dae Jang Geum semalam. Lepas ni nak layan All In (suggested by Farah) dan House M.D (suggested by Amir). Mana satu patut ku layan dulu? Korea atau omputih?

*Seminggu lagi, akan travel ke Benelux bersama kawan-kawan. (Benelux = Belgium Netherlands Luxembourg). I know we should boycott Netherlands, but everything was planned since before the video leakage. Can't wait to see the tulips! ^-^

*Hari ini Jumaat, esok cuti lagi! Nak window shopping lagi.. =D

K-Drama worth watching...

Baru saja tamat menonton Dae Jang Geum untuk kali kedua. First time tengok drama ni tahun 2005 kalau tak silap perkiraan. Memang best. Mungkin sebab aku peminat drama korea agaknya. Aku tahu, ada sesetengah orang memang menyampah dengan drama korea ni. Siap bagi list reason lagi sebab apa tak suka drama korea. Who cares? Masing-masing ada minat sendiri. Aku tak kisah asalkan aku dan kamu bahagia okay. Hahahaha.

Now, back to the topic, this is my all time favourite korean drama list (mengikut rankingku..hehehe), recommended to any korean drama lover. Even if you're not, you can start to watch it now, maybe you will know why we like korean dramas.

1. Dae Jang Geum/Jewel In The Palace - the longest and maybe the best korean drama that I have watched so far. Consists of 70 episodes with total 54 hours of show. With a lot of moral values, great story of a great woman, great costumes, this drama is a must watch show.

2. Full House -the first korean drama that I watched. Love it. I didn't remember how many times I have watched it over and over (it must be more than 5 times for sure..hehe). I started to watch other korean dramas after falling deeply in love with this drama. Wahaha=p

3. My Girl - ini bukanlah drama kedua atau ketiga, tetapi drama ini memberikan impak yang agak besar selepas Full House. It is very enjoyable for sure. Seingat aku, aku cuma menonton drama ini 3 kali sahaja. Lepas itu naik malas, sebab aku sudah ingat satu persatu jalan ceritanya. Hahahaha.

4. Love Story in Harvard - drama ini agak serius, dan mungkin membebankan minda kerana jalan ceritanya yang agak berat. Tentang student, tentang kerja amal, tentang pekerjaan (lawyer dan doktor), tentang penyakit dll...berat bukan? Tapi jangan risau, endingnya yang mantap akan membuatkan segala keberatan itu berakhir. Hehehe. :D

5. Bad Family - Bukanlah tentang ahli keluarga mafia atau gangster, tapi cuma tentang ahli keluarga yang tidak berapa baik pada mulanya. Drama yang memang menghiburkan, dan boleh dilayan ketika bosan, sambil memakan cekedis. Worth watching sebab tu masuk dalam list ni. :D

6. Fantasy Couple - Menarik sebab jalan ceritanya yang unik. Expect the unexpected. Vengeance can turn into love and care, and vice versa. I simply love it. :D



7. Super Rookie - you're not excellent in study, doesn't mean that you will not be excellent in your career. It is a very funny and inspiring drama. Berjaya menarik abang aku (yang bukanlah penggemar cerita korea) untuk menonton sehingga habis. Aku bangga. :D

8. Wonderful Life - Life is so wonderful, even though there a lot of pain that we must endure before we can achieve that wonderfulness. Small mistake sometimes leads to greater problem in the future, but it can also teach us to be more independent, and be more mature. And, the little girl in this drama is vereh cute =D

9. Winter Sonata - drama yang menyayat hati. Untuk mereka yang sentimental, cerita ini sememangnya sesuai untuk jiwa raga anda. Bersedialah untuk bersedih dari awal sehingga ke akhir cerita. Sob3x...huh.~

10. Successful Story of A Bright Girl - cerita tentang kanak-kanak periang dengan jejaka yang egoistik. Bolehlah dilayan jika bosan.

11. Sweet 18 - What happens when you got married at a very young age in the modern world. 18 is considered young nowadays, tak matang lagi orang cakap. Enjoyable drama. :D

12. Stairway to Heaven - konsep dramanya hampir sama dengan Winter Sonata, tapi masing-masing ada keunikannya yang tersendiri. Sedih yang tak berpenghujung..huhuhu. ~

So far, itu je kot. Drama yang aku rasa boleh la ditengok sekali, lepas itu boleh delete terus daripada hard disk pun ada jugak. Ni ha...
